Dear Parents,

PTAMS has a new team called the Foundations Five.  The team members of the Foundation Five are Gordon Tester, Victor Kanrilak, Kurt Jones, Brittney Kuhlman, and Carol Christan.  The goal of the Foundations Five is to help create an environment for students that is emotionally and physically safe and that fosters independence, integrity, confidence, self-control, kindness, literacy, and responsibility in those students.  The current initiative of the team is attendance.  Students who are chronically absent –meaning they miss at least 15 days of school in a year – are at serious risk of falling behind.  The Foundations Five has started a new program called PAW (Perfect Attendance Week) to help increase attendance.  Students can earn an hour of open gym on Friday afternoons by being in school on time for the entire week. Please help support PTAMS and your children by making sure your children are in school and on time everyday.  Thank you for your support.

Also, if you are interested in volunteering to watch students during their gym time, please call the school and let us know.
